Original Au Coton is a brand, but also a collective memory. Since the 80s, our clothes have accompanied generations, worn with pride by those who seek simplicity and authenticity in a constantly changing world.

In the 80s, we were pioneers of casual style in Quebec, a time when society was changing. Women were demanding more freedom, and Quebecers were asserting their cultural identity with confidence. At that time, our loose sweaters and bold, colorful colors reflected this spirit of movement and energy.

Today, that same spirit lives on, but it’s reinvented. Our essentials now adopt pastel shades and modern cuts, to reflect a balance between softness and authenticity, adapted to today’s sensibilities. A generation that also seeks clothes that go beyond their simple function, to become a true extension of oneself.

Deep down, Au Coton's DNA has never changed: it is a quest for timelessness and simplicity. This link between yesterday and today is this ability to always return to the essential, to what makes us feel good and allows us to remain authentic, no matter the era.
